Lyceum Youth Orchestras at American Heritage School is one of the most comprehensive and highly awarded youth music programs in the nation. With a focus on faith, patriotism, and excellence, our students learn to LOVE music MORE through musical service, meaningful media, and inspiring events.

We serve more than 500 students, ages 6–18, across 10 ensembles on two campuses. From basic music readers to high school virtuosos, all are welcome to apply.

Auditions are accepted mid-season where space is available at both our Salt Lake City and Utah County campuses. Our application process is quick and completely online. You probably have everything you need already on your phone to audition today!

LMF 2026 sparks imaginations with Peter and The Wolf, Carnival of the Animals, and more! Featuring actor, musician, and comedian Kirby Heyborne as narrator and soloist. 

July 13-18, 2026, this week of fun, friends, and fantastic music is open to students ages 8-21 at our Utah County campus of American Heritage School.

For the first time ever, all ten Lyceum ensembles come together to bring our season to a climactic close with the LOVE music MORE Super Concert! From our youngest learners to our graduating seniors, experience the energy and joy of nearly 500 musicians sharing the stage in an unforgettable afternoon of music for the whole family. 

American Heritage School

American Heritage School is a faith-based private school with a focus on character education. It has recently opened a downtown Salt Lake campus and has developed comprehensive homeschool curriculums and accredited online study options. AHS is the largest private school in Utah with over 1100 students K-12 on its 40-acre American Fork campus in addition to over 100 students at its new Salt Lake City campus and thousands participating online. Since 2008, American Heritage School has sponsored the Lyceum Youth Orchestras to provide world-class music instruction to its students and as a community outreach.
