Lyceum Youth Orchestras at American Heritage School is one of the most comprehensive and awarded youth programs of its kind in the nation. With a focus on faith, patriotism, and excellence our students learn to LOVE music MORE through musical service, meaningful media, and inspiring events. We serve more than 400 students ages 6-18  in 10 ensembles at two campuses. Basic music readers through high school virtuosos are invited to apply. The audition process is quick, convenient, and entirely online.

Get the behind-the-scenes scoop as we bring to life music from Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Hook, La La Land, and more! The grandeur of Respighi’s Pines of Rome and the “Simple Gift” that is Copland’s Appalachian Spring will be magnified by soloists Whitney Baron performing John Williams’s Theme from Schindler’s List and Makynlee Hinckley presenting the dynamic Forsyth Viola Concerto.

Lights, Camera, Action! This summer’s get the inside track from John Williams’ top horn  player as we perform some of the greatest movie scores ever written — Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Hook, La La Land, and more! Of course, there’s always room for a Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 as well!

American Heritage School

American Heritage School is a faith-based private school with a focus on character education. It has recently opened a downtown Salt Lake campus and has developed comprehensive homeschool curriculums and accredited online study options. AHS is the largest private school in Utah with over 1100 students K-12 on its 40-acre American Fork campus in addition to over 100 students at its new Salt Lake City campus and thousands participating online. Since 2008, American Heritage School has sponsored the Lyceum Youth Orchestras to provide world-class music instruction to its students and as a community outreach.
